Boris Ritter - Piano, Arrangement
Boris Ritter was awarded with the “Outstanding Musicianship Award” from the „Berklee College of Music Boston“, USA. He has studied piano in Karlsruhe and was award winner at „Jugend komponiert“ (Young Composer) and „Jugend musiziert“ (Young Musician) at national German level. Besides this, he has been a long-time member of the „Bundesjugendorchester“ und musical director of the „Badische Landesbühne Bruchsal“. He plays and conducts at various musicals, like „Tanz der Vampire“, „3 Musketiere“, „Mamma Mia!“ and Elisabeth, also he is a lecturer at the „Musikhochschule Mannheim“.
Klaus Dusek - Bass
Klaus Dusek studied contrabass at the „Musikhochschule Münster“. He was first winner at the contest „Jugend jazzt“ (Young Jazz Musician) and played in a number of jazz formations, including the „New Jazz Festival“ in Moers. Since 1984 he is a member of the „Städtische Orchester Pforzheim“.
Eckhardt Stromer - Drums
Eckhard Stromer wurde 1972 in Chicago/Illinois (USA) geboren und studierte in Würzburg klassisches Schlagzeug und Jazz-Drums. Seit 2000 unterrichtet er als Dozent für Jazz / Pop Drums an der Staatl. Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. Durch seine Crossover-Tätigkeit in Jazz und Popmusik wie auch im „klassischen“ Sektor konnte er als Preisträger verschiedener Musikwettbewerbe sowie auf zahlreichen TV / Rundfunk- und CD-Produktionen als Drummer wie auch als Percussionist auf sich aufmerksam machen. Er arbeitete bisher u.a. mit Peter Herbolzheimer, Bobby Shew, Cornell Dupree, Nils Gessinger, Roger Chapman, PUR, Rainer Tempel, Jon Lord, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, Randy Brecker, Paquito d`Rivera, German Pops Orchestra, diversen Musicals in Stuttgart und Berlin sowie verschiedenen renommierten Sinfonieorchestern.

The approach of the CD „Mallets for Kids“ is to show to children the faszination of music in a playful mannor with different means.
Mallets are the sticks, which are used by Roland Härdtner to play on the mallet-instruments marimba, vibraphone and xylophone. He arranged a colourful programme together with the „Swinging Mallets Trio“ with a range of suitable titles from children's songs to classical works.
In combination with the visit of a „Mallets for Kids“ concert or simply at home in front of the CD-player, music can be experienced completely new and definitly not boring with the guidance of the liner notes.
We wish all children, mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfather, as well as the young and the young at heart listeners a lot of fun while listening to this CD.
